This is a privately billing practice, however, we do not believe that financial problems should act as a barrier to accessing quality health care. If there are circumstances that would make payment difficult, please feel free to discuss the fees with Dr Pavlidis. In general, patients who are employed are billed privately and children under 16 years of age and concession card holders and pensioners are bulk billed (no out of pocket charges). Department of Veterans' Affairs patients are billed directly (no out of pocket charges).
Students insured with Allianz Global Assistance OSHC Worldcare can have their consultation billed directly to Allianz Global Assistance with no out of pocket costs. Also, students insured with Australian Health Management (AHM) can have their consultation billed directly to AHM with no out of pocket costs.
A standard consultation (up to 20 minutes in duration) is $92.00. The current Medicare rebate for such consultations is $41.40 (that is, out of pocket $50.60).
