Since inception, this clinic has been carbon neutral.

Feeling that this in itself was not enough, the clinic has moved to a position of being carbon negative in 2017, by offsetting it's carbon footprint twice.

SUMMARY OF EFFORTS TO BE ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS AND GREEN :

• Paper use:

  • New A4 paper used is Australian made and 100% recycled.
    

  • Where possible, printing occurs on both sides of office paper to reduce waste.
    

  • Scrap paper is used for note taking and messages.
    

  • Where possible, communication occurs electronically to avoid paper and postage. Emails are never printed out.
    

  • All waste paper and cardboard is recycled.

  • Electronic signature capture technology is utilised to allow signing onto a screen and eliminating the requirement for paper during this process.

    
    

• Motor vehicle use:

  • Car used to attend home visits is fuel efficient (quoted at 4.7 L/100km).
    

  • Car emmisions are offset twice by trees planted by Greenfleet.
    

• Electricity use:

  • Electricity used 100% derived from renewable resources.
    

  • Electricity used for website hosting is carbon neutral through the purchase of offsets.
    

  • Computer network router uses D-link green energy saving technology.
    

  • Computers used are ENERGY STAR^® compliant.
    
    Computer screens are switched off when not in use.
